Thirty-second week starts tomorrow!

I'll go ahead and get this one done, so it's not late too.  Naomi, 1/16-1/22 is your 32nd week!  At the end of this week, you'll be 17-19 inches long and weigh about 4 pounds.  After this week, it may be a struggle for you to do endless flips and turns.  I hope you'll be settling head down, preparing for birth.  All your senses are developed and ready to go, and you are practicing all of them--even inhaling the amniotic fluid!  With these abilities, your brain development is in high gear, making new connections at an astonishing speed.  Books say you are sleeping and waking for longer stretches of time now, but I still feel you moving more often than not.  We love you very much!

The loosened ligaments and joints in my pelvis have me in pain, often.  I really need to move to sitting on the birth ball instead of the couch, I know that would help.  I may even get to the point where I bring my ball to work and church!  Everything else is pretty normal for this stage: stretch marks are back, leg discoloration, not sleeping well, fatigue, out of breath, and a general feeling of "let's get this show on the road!" even though I still have 8-10 weeks left.  I'm thankful that it's been uneventful so far and hope for a textbook case of natural, in hospital labor and delivery.
