I'm a few days late, but we're into the 22nd week! Naomi, you're 8-11 inches long and weigh about 1 pound! Your eyelids, eyebrows and lips are distinct and you have tooth buds under your gums. Your eyes are formed but don't have color yet--neither does your hair. Your body is covered in lanugo, a fine hair, and very wrinkled. It's because you've made room to start storing up fat and filling out! You'll respond to sounds, rhythms and melodies, so I should probably think about singing to you some. We love you very much.
I am doing okay this week. Nausea has finally gone away. I do get tired easily and have less patience with my family. :( Round ligament pain and varicose/spider vein pain is still going on.
I had a regular appointment last week. As of then, I have lost about 6 pounds in pregnancy--not gained anything. I saw a different OB, but he didn't seem concerned. He also said the thyroid medicine had balanced me out.
